I love TED

If I had to list all my fav videos on TED, then that list would be endless.

So, since I have some time on my hands right now, I shall post a link to one of my fav TED videos everyday.

Here is the link for today:

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

TED believes passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world. So the people at TED are building a clearinghouse that offers free knowledge and inspiration from the world’s most inspired thinkers, and also a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other.

  1. first thing is that the vedio was simply awesome….. it answers me soooo many questions that i had in my mind about interdisiplinary studies, since i returned from goa… this vedio prooves that your degree does not justify what you have to do all your life… its after all science that we are studying and not only zoology or botany or chem… i feel like showing thuis vedio to all those poeple who think that a degree paper shows what yoy are qualified for.
next thing is that i raelly loved your blog.. i dont need to repaet this that you write beautifully… another thing is i really feel the same about science reports or research papers.. now a days science has become restricted to people who are known scientsits or working in that FEILD. but why do they forget that science is for COMMON PEOPLE?? ita for our benifit. and it should reach maximum people and not just handful of those who are able to understand the complexity of an resaerch paper..
by writing a research paper in an interesting way with those pop arts and animated cartoons if i m able to convey my message to more people who are after all going to be benifited by my work, then why sholud i not write it like that… why should i restrict myself to writing a research paper in w ay that is going to make my work or science a dry and boring subject???
but again as i always say…. to change the system u have to be in the system… so we all will have to try and change this approach just by following it and then try n change it….
